| Expanded metal grating is used where a strong, low-cost, easily installed, open flooring is needed. It is used for catwalks, runways, stair treads, and machine platforms. The long way of the diamond runs parallel to the length of the sheet. Expanded metal should always be bolted or welded to supports. For the greatest strength, the long way of the diamond should run perpendicular to the supports and the direction of traffic. |
